It’s amazing what a hectic work schedule can do. I barely recall the happenings of the weekdays past and yet the weekends resonate so strongly in my memory. When life gets intense, without a doubt, the first thing I seem to do is think about Saturdays – ones nostalgic and past and the others I eagerly await. It’s such a blissfully self-contained intermission from life’s obligations, wedged beautifully between Friday’s strenuous grind and Sunday’s lazy but equally foreboding air.
The above photos were taken on such a perfect Saturday a couple of weeks ago. There was nothing but the Paddington sunlight specking happiness onto the street’s lush green borders. This simple marvel facilitated my window-posing (the blogger’s version of window shopping) so perfectly, I seized the moment to speckle some attention on some new and old favourites. In the former category, there is the dress I had yet the chance to entertain and the heels I can no longer imagine doing without (love love). In the latter is a piece that has become an affectionate staple in my collection of trinkets, the beautiful necklace Cristina so thoughtfully sent me a couple of months back. I triple love its unapologetic aesthetic, its delicate boldness and of course, its bullet shell casing that makes me feel that little bit bad-ass.
In all the right ways, of course.
